What Still Sunday is:

Still Sunday is a bimonthly, online art and music magazine, complimented by offline events, focussed on wonder and exploration.

In our ever more restless and overstimulated society, people have unlearned to really look, listen and feel. Still Sunday seeks to enlighten people as to feel a sense of wonder again by providing them with an accessible space where they can explore and experience art. The magazine features captivating music, visual arts, videos and more, exhibited in a way to show their full potential and enable you to fully enjoy them. All in freedom and tranquility. By giving you an update just once every two months, we would like to encourage you to take your time, make yourself comfortable and take a mindful journey.
Through the way of presenting works of various media we invite you to discover new content, that lies out of your comfort zone.

Together we wish to build a community based on wonder, open mindedness and a general interest in art, starting online and through local events in the Nijmegen area (and -eventually- far beyond).

What it isn’t:

No Name-dropping
Honestly, we don’t really care about how well-known the artists are or how many “leads” they generate. To us, it’s purely about showing and playing captivating works. Therefore Still Sunday also functions as a platform for small and upcoming artists.

No Clickbait
When you go online you already find a landscape of websites that feed you with cheap daily thrills and quick fixes. We do not wish to distract you with unsatisfying content. Therefore we only offer a monthly bundle of carefully curated works. This enables us to make sure the works surpass trivial curiosities and have a quality and depth to them that deserve your time and attention.

No Referrals
Although we do give recommendations and encourage you to also explore art on other websites, at events and in all your surroundings, we want the art we feature to be experienced as fully as possible. Still Sunday is designed to facilitate that and to use the medium internet to it’s advantage. We don’t merely reference to works, like reviews or advertisements for museums and concerts. The magazine ìs the museum, the gallery, the experience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row thb_divider_position=”bottom” el_id=”who” thb_row_title=”Who Still Sunday Is”][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Who is Still Sunday?

Still Sunday is ran by a small group of main editors and curators, complemented by a vast amount of occasional volunteers, the featured artists and off course the audience. They are based in Nijmegen (the Netherlands).
